Meet Pina Pacifico
Pina Pacifico has been with Liquid Web since October 2017, and in a short time has been promoted twice. In her current position as a Customer Success Manager, she is the technical point-of-contact for Liquid Web’s largest clients, ensuring that all requests make it to the right teams for all product lines. In other words, the buck stops with her.
We caught up with Pina on her new role and what she enjoys so much about Liquid Web.
Why did you join Liquid Web?
Liquid Web presented an opportunity to start a career in technology, which was something I had been interested in pursuing. I was drawn to hosting specifically because the technology for the Hosting Industry is always changing, which meant I could learn new things continuously. As technology advances, so does our product portfolio and different solutions we can offer our clients. Being able to take our new products and understand how they can fit into our customer’s business objectives in a real-world scenario is what gives me a thrill each day.
In your eyes, what’s the difference between Liquid Web and other employers?
I like that Liquid Web is able to offer products to our customers that are entry-level but can also accommodate our customers as they grow to enterprise-level solutions. Our flexibility and nimbleness are the reasons we can help our customers stay competitive.
Also, at the end of each day, I can readily see the changes that I have made in my clients’ lives. I don’t feel that I’m constantly mulling through the weeds, leaving the day with no sense of accomplishment. It allows me to take a sense of pride in my work, and that’s incredibly important to me.
What’s your favorite part about the company culture at Liquid Web?
I enjoy that almost everyone at Liquid Web is willing to learn and grow, but also to teach with patience and understanding. With the many roles I’ve taken on such as a Solutions Consultant and Business Development Manager, everyone has been so willing to help me learn about the processes essential to make our team successful. Most of those I have worked alongside have been with Liquid Web for over five years and have an abundance of knowledge to pass along, which is so helpful.
I also greatly appreciate that my current manager is understanding about the importance of work/life balance. This encourages me to become a valuable teammate to everyone that I work with, and the balance gives me the space to create better opportunities for service for our clients.
Tell us about a truly rewarding experience you’ve had with customers!
It gives me pride to know that when a client reaches me, I will be the last person they need to speak with at Liquid Web, because I take personal ownership of my clients’ issues. Until the issue is resolved, I will continue to provide insight and troubleshoot their concerns, because that is what a Helpful Human does.
I try to be a servant leader by considering my teammates to be “customers” as well. By learning how my role can assist in making their roles easier, my team is more willing to work alongside me, which is more rewarding for all involved.
What are you known for at Liquid Web? What do people specifically come to you for?
I would say that most people come to me for two things, the first of which is solving problems by understanding processes. For instance, I have been asked about the process that happens immediately after a product is sold, and have also been a point-of-knowledge for others when something changes in Billing. I’ve been fortunate to have the time to learn these processes in an effort to be more understanding of workflows. That knowledge, in turn, has helped me help others.
The second thing that people come to me for is my positive energy. Sometimes colleagues need a break from their computers and will come to have a quick chat with me! Those small conversations bud into friendships and lead to more trust, building stronger teams.
What is your favorite app?
Currently it is Shazam and Duolingo. I really enjoy putting together great music playlists! Right now I’m on a bossa nova kick, which is a popular Brazilian-style music.
I’m also learning how to speak and write Italian using Duolingo, which will come in handy when I buy my flat in Italy — one of my bucket list items. 🙂
If you could have dinner with one famous person [dead or alive] who would it be?
I would have dinner with Massimo Bottura, one of Italy’s top restaurateurs. We would go either to one of his favorite dinner spots, or have one of his favorite chefs cook for us. His wife and friends would be in attendance as well. There would be an abundance of parmesan available and good conversation.
We hope you enjoyed our series, and stay tuned for the next Most Helpful Human in Hosting profile.
